Garbage Collection: Allied Waste picks up on Mondays.
Recycling Collection: Allied Waste picks up every other week on Mondays. See
acceptable items.
Holidays: Holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Garbage collection will run one day late for all communities that have collection on or after holiday during the holiday week.
Appliances, Bulky Waste and Tires: Picked up only during Spring and Fall Cleanups.
Electronic Waste Recycling: Residents may take items to the
Electronic Demanufacturing Facility for recycling at no charge.
Household Hazardous Materials: Residents may take items to Waste Commission of Scott County, by appointment, at no charge. See
Scott Area Household Hazardous Material Facilities.
Cleanup Days/Weeks: To be announced.
Brush, Tree Trimmings and Christmas Trees, Grass and Leaves: No city arrangements.
Motor Oil: Oil may be taken to the
Scott Area Landfill or
Scott Area Recycling Center for recycling.
Burning Regulations: Yard waste may be burned if generated on property owner's premises. No waste that may cause a smoldering problem.
