Garbage Collection: Allied Waste picks up on Fridays.

Recycling Collection: Same day as garbage. Resident must obtain Recycle Bin from City Hall – at no charge. Participation is mandatory.

Collection Holidays: Allied Waste recognizes six major holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Garbage collection will run one day late for all communities that have collection on or after holiday during the holiday week.

Appliances and Bulky Waste: Hauler accepts for a per item fee. Call City Hall for collection.

Electronic Waste Recycling: No city arrangements. Items may be taken to the Electronic Demanufacturing Facility.

Cleanup Days/Weeks: One day in spring (to be announced).

Tires: Tires may be taken to Scott Area Landfill.

Christmas Trees: Call City Hall for collection.

Brush and Tree Trimmings: Property owner’s responsibility.

Grass and Leaves: Must purchase own yard waste bag.

Motor Oil: Oil may be taken to the Scott Area Landfill or Scott Area Recycling Center for recycling.

Household Hazardous Materials: Items such as paints, pesticides, cleaners and other toxins in the home should be taken to one of the Scott Area Household Hazardous Material Facilities.

Burning Regulations: Lawn waste and trimmings only may be burned on property that is its place of origin.
