The following household hazardous material does not require an appointment.

Batteries Alkaline batteries (regular), such as A, AA, AAA, C, D and 9V can safely be thrown in your trash. Rechargeable batteries such as NiCad, Lithium and Lead Acid (from digital cameras, video cameras, laptops, hearing aids, keyless entries, and vehicles) can be taken to the Scott Area Landfill, 11555 110th Avenue, Davenport, Scott Area Recycling Center, 5640 Carey Avenue, Davenport or Electronic Demanufacturing Facility, 1048 East 59th Street, Davenport between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. « Go Back
